AROUND 500 people of all ages took to the floor at the second annual Dance Day, held at Bournemouth Pavilion.
The free event was organised by Cllr Pat Lewis, Bournemouth Council’s champion for older people.
Dance school teachers gave up their time for free and participants learned steps in dances such as Latin American, Ballroom, Ceroc and Pure Funk and got involved in BodyVive, an exercise class which normally takes place at the Littledown Centre.
There was also a cheerleader squad demonstration.
Cllr Lewis said: “People enjoyed themselves. The instructors did a little bit of a demonstration then invited everybody on to the floor to have a go. The floor was full up all the time. People have had a really good day.”
