YOU know when you’ve been zapped by the Zeppelins.

If anyone had forgotten quite how awesome was the super size stadium power of those legendary hard rockers, Led Zeppelin, the opening numbers to this tribute show would certainly have reminded them, taking them back 30 years and knocking them completely out of their seats.

Once you’d adjusted your audio tolerance level though, you had to agree that this role-recreating performance was spot on.

Closely resembling their heroes, dressed in trademark Zeppelin jeans, open shirts, topped with the hippy hair, the lead singer delivered Robert Plant’s strutting flamboyance with aplomb, while their superb scorching lead guitar was note for note Jimmy Page perfect.

Apart from Rock ’n’ Roll the song list showed just how wide were the original band’s influences.

Oh My Jesus came from the southern gospel blues tradition, Going To California from country.

Bron Yr Aur, or Golden Breasted Hill, was named after their wild tours recuperating bolt hole in Wales and Kashmir’s powerfully hypnotic styles ranged from Morocco to India.

Probably the best known numbers were the wistful vocal to guitar crescendo Stairway To Heaven and Whole Lotta Love, which brought everyone up on their feet – rock blasting brilliant.
