A GP has admitted watching pornographic images on computer equipment at his surgery, the General Medical Council said.

Ralph Vadas, who worked at West Canford Heath Medical Centre in Poole, admitted viewing the images between 2004 and 2008.

Dr Vadas, who is appearing before a General Medical Council fitness to practise hearing, also admitted touching the buttocks of two female colleagues and putting his hand up another staff member's jumper without their consent.

He admitted his conduct during those incidents was inappropriate.

Dr Vadas also admitted having a webcam in his consultation room at the surgery which pointed towards the area where patients would sit, but denied there was anything inappropriate about it.

At yesterday’s hearing in central London, the doctor also admitted he had been drunk during practice hours at the Canford Heath surgery on occasions in 2007.

He also admitted he had accessed patient records in 2008 and 2009 while suspended from practising.

Dr Vadas also faces allegations about his care of eight patients and is accused of making threats against a witness.

The hearing, which will continue today and is listed for eight weeks, will decide if Dr Vadas is guilty of misconduct.

Dr Vadas’s surgery was closed after he was sacked when the allegations came to light in 2008.
