Well, we did the Race for life on Sunday, a very emotional day for everybody who takes part, this year there seemed to be even more women and girls than usual.
Leah had raised £1280 by Sunday morning & I have had promises of more to come!
I am stunned by people's continuing generosity & so proud of my girl.
She & Mel ran together and apparently she kept up a good pace of running a bit then walking a bit, they finished in 55 minutes.
Mum & I came in at 1 hour 8 minutes and I walked the whole way this year - we were at the back because we had Megan in her pushchair but we were walking pretty fast for me so I feel a great achievement too.
My feet were sore on Monday though & I was glad to have a foot massage at the Day Centre!
Things feel good at the moment, the side effects from the chemo are virtually none now, I guess my body has got used to it.
I struggle to enjoy many foods and do have a constant feeling of nausea for several days but other than that I feel fine, the emotional reaction seems minimal now too which is good - good for everyone else as I'm easier to live with (I hope so anyway!!!!).
We have a 'normal' family summer planned, lots of days out, ballet shows, getting together with friends - sometimes I can almost forget I'm ill.
This is so good for the girls, these are the times I want them to be able to remember and treasure forever and I'm so happy that we have this opportunity.
