FALKLAND veterans gathered in Christchurch to mark the conflict’s 28th anniversary.
Around 70 people attended the service conducted at Purewell Cross War Memorial to remember those who lost their lives.
Bill McAlester, who is chairman of the Christchurch and District South Atlantic Medal Association, said: “We downsized a bit this year, but thought it went very well.
“We had one new veteran attend, which is always a plus.”
The Rev Malcolm Surman from St Luke’s Church in Burton conducted the service and the Mayor, Cllr Nicholas Geary, laid a wreath.
