FIREFIGHTERS called to a bush fire on a small island had to be ferried to the scene by the Poole inshore lifeboat this evening.
Coastguards received a call just after 6.45pm and arranged for the unusual lift to Pergins Island in Holes Bay. The blaze was put out before 9.30pm.
