I’m going to be published! Ok it’s only a small step but I’ve been selected as one of ten finalists in an Echo competition ‘I’m a Columnist, Get Me In Here’ invited writers to submit a column, 450-600 words on your chosen subject.

I wrote about cyber friendships. I don’t know where in the ten I have come, they are going to print one entry every day for ten days with the winning one going in on July 17th.

I feel very proud and excited, it’s been a real confidence boost and has made me even more determined to keep plodding on with my book.

Also I went to Toni & Guy today for my free consultation. Hannah snipped away to give it some texture and I bought some ‘gunk’ to scrunch through it.

I’m amazed at the difference, I actually look like I’ve got a hairstyle – and to think I nearly cancelled because I thought I’d be wasting their time! I’ve got another appointment in 6 weeks time – hey, I’m normal again!!!
