INTEREST is growing in next year’s Pride in Bournemouth public art event.
Organisers have signed up a number of sponsors and are now keen to hear from professional artists who would like to get involved in the initiative, which aims to bring at least 50 large lion sculptures to Bournemouth’s streets, with scores of smaller models representing local primary schools.
Visitors will be able to follow a trail to view the beautifully-decorated creatures which will be auctioned at the end of next summer to raise money for Julia’s House and the Born Free Foundation.
The event was planned following similar ventures including Go Penguins in Liverpool and Elephant Parade in London.
Details of how to get involved can be found at prideinbournemouth.co.uk
