A COLLEGE student who feared she was being stalked has been found dead at a house in Bournemouth.
Emily Longley, 17, told friends on her Facebook page: “Someone just called me. They said ‘You don’t know me but I know everything about you’.
“I’m really scared.”
Police have said they are currently treating the Brockenhurst College student’s death as “unexplained” and Dorset Police’s major crime team is investigating.
Emily, a New Zealand national, was discovered dead at a bungalow on Queenswood Avenue, Strouden, at 9.55am on Saturday.
Two Bournemouth men aged 19 and 17 were arrested on Saturday, but have since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Emily’s father, Mark Longley, was reported in a New Zealand newspaper as saying his daughter had died in her sleep, but he did not know how.
Dorset Police announced today an inquest has been opened and adjourned. The cause of death was undetermined, subject to toxicology results.
In her Facebook revelations on Wednesday, Emily went on to say of the anonymous caller: “I asked how they got my number and they said ‘I’ll tell you when I see you’ and kept asking me out.
“I hung up and they won’t stop calling. How weird! Some people need to get a life!”
The 17-year-old gave her hometown as Auckland where she attended high school and grammar school.
Emily worked at Top Shop on Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth and listed a modelling agency as one of her employers.
Tributes described “a beautiful girl” and an “amazing person”.
Her sister, Hanny, simply said: “RIP beautiful big sis.”
Friend Lauren Blatch said: “You were like the littlest ray of sunshine on the rainiest of days.”
