A FORENSIC post mortem examination has been carried out in a bid to discover the cause of tragic Emily Longley’s death.

Results of the examination are still awaited and police continue to describe her death as “unexplained.”

The 17-year-old’s body was discovered on Saturday morning at a bungalow in Queenswood Avenue in Strouden Park, Bournemouth.

Two men, aged 19 and 17 and both from Bournemouth, were arrested on Saturday and have since been released on police bail, pending further inquiries.

Police carried out a second search of the property yesterday afternoon.

Emily is believed to have enjoyed two nights out with friends on Thursday and Friday evenings before the tragedy.

She is thought to have gone out for cocktails on Friday night and police are now trying to piece together the events which led to the discovery of her body on Saturday morning.

District coroner Sheriff Payne has opened an inquest, where he heard evidence of identification and was told the cause of Emily’s death is undetermined, subject to histology and toxicology tests.

Emily, a New Zealand national, had been living with her grandparents in Dingle Road in Southbourne. A family friend at the address told the Daily Echo: “The family are extremely distressed.”

Emily had recently voiced fears that she was being stalked and wrote on her Facebook page: “Someone just called me. “They said ‘You don’t know me but I know everything about you.’ I’m really scared.”

She attended Brockenhurst College where a spokeswoman said: “We are all devastated by the news but we are not able to say anything else until we have spoken to her parents.”

Emily also had a part-time job in Topshop in Bournemouth, where staff declined to comment on her death.
