THE pensioner who died after she was involved in an accident in the early hours outside the Worgret Manor Hotel near Wareham has been named.
Veronica Stoneman died from her injuries after she was in collision with a car at 12.45am on April 29.
An inquest into the death of the 83-year-old, from Binnegar, near Wareham, has been opened and adjourned.
Mrs Stoneman was walking along the A352 Worgret Road at the time of the accident.
The vehicle involved was a blue Ford Focus car.
The 29-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of a motoring offence.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: “Witnesses to the collision and anyone who may have seen the lady pedestrian prior to the collision should call PC Ferguson on 01202 222222.”
