A COLLISION between a car and a van brought traffic to a standstill on one of Poole’s main through routes at lunchtime on Wednesday.
Police, the fire service and ambulance were called to the junction of Lindsay Road and Leicester Road, Parkstone, just after 1pm.
A silver Nissan Primera registered to a Poole man and a white Ford Transit registered to a Ferndown man were blocking the road at the traffic lights less than a quarter of a mile from Penn Hill Corner.
Just after 2pm, a fire crew took the doors off one of the vehicles and an ambulance was standing by. One person was slightly hurt.
Lindsay Road was closed to Poole-bound traffic from the junction of Lindsay Road and St Aldhem’s Road, causing tailbacks to the Frizzell roundabout, but the roadblocks were taken off just before 3pm.
