POLICE are still yet to make any arrests following a serious sexual assault on Canford Heath over Easter.
A Bournemouth woman in her 20s was subjected to a terrifying ordeal in the early hours of Easter Monday.
The attack took place on heathland sandwiched between Warburton Road and the Nuffield Industrial Estate.
No description of the attacker has ever been released and no arrests have been made, but Dorset Police said they were still exploring lines of enquiry.
A spokesman said: “Detectives investigating this attack continue to follow a number of leads. “We are awaiting the results of forensic tests, which may take a number of weeks.”
It is understood the victim was left with severe bruising and black eyes following the brutal assault.
A detailed two-day search of the area of heathland took place following the reporting of the attack.
At the time, police stressed they were searching for evidence and not a suspect.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Dorset Police on 01202 222222.
