AROUND 20 fire fighters battled a barn fire at Woodville, Stour Provost near Gillingham in the early hours of this morning.
The fire started around 2.55am at a storage area containing hay, a tractor and 200 tyres.
The crews from Sturminster Newton, Shaftesbury and Gillingham used hose reel jets, a compressed air foam jet and a main line hydant to fight it and protect an adjacent building.
It is believed it was caused by an electrical fault on a tractor.
Fire fighters were on scene for around three hours.
