A TERRIFIED couple were threatened with a broken bottle in an attempted robbery in Poole’s Old Town.
The pair refused to hand anything over to the attacker despite his threats of violence.
The incident happened on Levet’s Lane between 11.20pm and 11.40pm on Sunday, May 8.
The 47-year-old woman and her husband, both from Poole, escaped unharmed.
PC Marc Chubb, of Poole police, said the attack had been “extremely distressing” for the victims.
He said: “They were walking their dogs when the man threatened them with violence and demanded money.
“The couple refused to hand anything over and the offender made off empty handed.”
The robber is described as white, aged in his late teens or early 20s and of slim build.
He was wearing a grey hooded top, with the hood pulled up, a white baseball cap, loose fitting trousers and possibly red trainers.
Anyone with information should call Dorset Police on 01202 222222.
