St Michael’s Primary School has welcomed a new pupil to the classroom thanks to Coles Miller Solicitors. The new student is slightly different to the norm, as it’s a Pride in Bournemouth lion!
The miniature lion statue was given to the Bournemouth school to bring to life by adding colour and imagination to his plain white coat. School children spent time in their art class adding bright blues and greens, as part of the ‘sea themed’ lion.
Bob Kennedy, Head Teacher at St Michael’s Primary School said: “Coles Miller kindly sponsored St Michael’s Primary School with a small lion and paints for the Pride in Bournemouth project.
“A group of children aged from four to 11 years, led by teacher Mrs Sally Flannigan, designed and decorated the lion with a sea theme.
“The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and are now eagerly waiting to see ‘Lionel’ and the other lions in the town.”
Peter Kearns, marketing manager for Coles Miller added: “….”
Several schools from across Bournemouth have turned their artistic flair and imagination into a wonderful creation to be added to a Pride in Bournemouth miniature lion statue.
Each school also received an educational pack, so the lion not only offered fun and creativity, but it was also incorporated into the national curriculum.
