A NIGHT-OUT with friends in Bournemouth ended in terror for a teenager after a sex attacker pounced as she walked home alone.
The 19-year-old suffered scratches to her face and neck after being grabbed from behind, dragged into a driveway and sexually assaulted at the Richmond Hill end of Wimborne Road.
Details of the sex attack, at about 2.45am on Sunday, have just been released by detectives.
DC Steve Griffin of Bournemouth CID told the Daily Echo: “This was an extremely distressing attack on a lone woman as she walked home after a night-out with her friends.”
The terrified victim managed to make her escape after shouting at the man, who is believed to have a Middle Eastern accent and is thought to be around 5ft 9in to 5ft 10in tall.
DC Griffin added: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed any unusual or out of the ordinary activity in the Richmond Hill area during the early hours of Sunday morning to contact me immediately.
“Any witnesses, and anyone with any information about the offender, should call Dorset police at the earliest opportunity.”
