A FIVE-year-old boy was taken to hospital by air ambulance after a collision with a car in Ringwood on Thursday.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said the youngster ran out into the road and was "struck" by the Ford Fiesta, driven by a local woman around 5.40pm.
The incident took place in Furlong Mews.
He was taken to Southampton General Hospital by air ambulance and kept in overnight for observation although it appears his injuries were not serious.
