A DANCER from Corfe Mullen will help to kick off the Britain’s Got Talent live semi-finals tonight.
Nicola Wills, 26, leads Girls Roc, a fire-breathing, aerial acrobatic dance troupe that’s already caused a bit of a stir on the ITV show for being ‘too saucy’.
Millions of viewers are in for a treat this evening as the seven girls take to the stage – with a python.
Nicola, a former Corfe Hills student, said: “I’m absolutely petrified.
“The show’s ratings are about 14million at the minute and we’ll be the first on.
“With the fire tricks, there’s always a risk and high danger. I just keep thinking if something goes wrong, the cameras won’t go off!
“But we’ll be giving it 100 per cent.”
Nicola, who’s been a backing dancer for popstars Katy Perry and Pink, formed Girls Roc to perform at a top London nightclub.
After impressing judges Amanda Holden, David Hasselhoff and Michael McIntyre to make it through the auditions, they now have to fight for public votes.
“We aim to be the Pussycat Dolls, but with fire,” she added. “All the girls are really gorgeous. Because we’re strong women and talented, we don’t have the usual sob story of other contestants.
“It’s harder to get support. I want people to back their local girl.”
Nicola, who moved on to West End musicals after stage school, says those who tune in will get a “music video on stage”, with 12 male dancers.
The show starts at 7.30pm on ITV1.
