THE ‘voluptuous’ Kate Garraway became a favourite of a Bournemouth sculptor hitting the big time.

Kim Leachman’s work has shot to TV fame after he got commissions for presenters including the ITV star.

His work was handed over to the Daybreak presenter to celebrate the show’s focus on British gardens.

And the fuller figure of the 44-year-old mum made her a favourite from his recent batch of high profile work.

He was also commissioned to promote today’s DVD release of the animated film Gnomeo and Juliet.

He created Louise Redknapp, Simon Rimmer and Tim Lovejoy for BBC’s Something for the Weekend.

And he did Matt Littler and Darren Jeffries for Channel 4’s Freshly Squeezed.

Each gnome is around two-foot high and 54-year-old Kim from Holdenhurst Village has been making them for around 10 years.

He also makes devilishly good gargoyles and his ‘Kate and William’ double display will be on show at Stewarts Gardenlands at Lyndhurst Road in Christchurch on Saturday and Sunday.

He’ll auction the pair off afterwards on eBay to raise money for the Bournemouth-based Steve Bernard Foundation, which funds local sporting projects.
