AN investigation is taking place into the cause of a fire at Burger King in Poole on Tuesday night.
Firefighters were called to the incident at the fast-food restaurant around 11.20pm on Tuesday by a member of the public who saw smoke coming from a doorway on North Street in the Old Town part of Poole.
The fire was in the storage area belonging to the High Street restaurant and involved old drinks machines and display cabinets.
Fire fighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the blaze using two hose reel jets by 12.10am.
There was severe smoke, fire and heat damage to the storage room and severe smoke damage to the upstairs staff toilets.
