BOURNEMOUTH based The Funky Little Choir are hitting the high notes with their concert at the Regent in Christchurch.
The choir returns with a brand new concert at the Centre on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 July at 7.30pm.
The Funky Little Choir was formed in January 2007 by its director, Sandie Elkins.
Over the last four years, they have established a reputation as one of the premier choirs in the area.
They won Bournemouth Choir of the Year in 2010; were Regional Winners of BBC 3’s Choir of the Year and performed live on Channel 5’s Don’t Stop Believing, having been selected from over 3,000 musical groups across the UK.
The children’s section of the Choir also appeared on CBBC’s Comic Relief.
This year the Funky Little Choir will be performing their concert twice, as there has been a lot of demand.
The concert will feature the 120 strong choir, together with a live band, performing a selection of classic and contemporary songs by Michael Bublé, Bill Withers, Jackson Five, KT Tunstall, Tina Turner and songs from the Walt Disney musicals.
