A LADY on board a yacht was rescued by the coastguard and Poole RNLI lifeboat crew after she fell ill on board in the early hours of this morning.
The yacht had run aground in Shipstal Point in Poole Harbour when the lady was reported unwell.
Coastguard contacted Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth as part of their medi-link service, which links the yacht directly with the hospital and it was recommended for her to be evacuated.
Poole RNLI quickly recovered the woman to the harbourside and she was taken to hospital.
