POLICE have renewed their appeal for help after a motorist failed to stop after a collision.
They have released details of a car that is thought to be linked to the incident, in which a 21-year-old man cycling from Bradford Abbas to Sherborne was involved in a collision with another vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.
It happened at 11.15am on Sunday.
The car did not stop at the scene and the cyclist, from Thornford, was left with a serious head injury.
PC Kevin Farenden, of Dorset Police’s traffic unit, said: “Following further enquiries I now understand that a black or dark grey Mitsubishi Warrior 4x4, with an extended cab area, was seen leaving the area at high speed immediately after this collision.
“I believe that the driver of this vehicle may have vital information about the collision.”
Call police on 01202 222222 quoting incident number 10:249, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
