POLICE officers have detained two men near to schools in Bournemouth on Thursday lunchtime.
Witnesses described seeing several police vehicles, an ambulance and a helicopter around the scene in East Way, Charminster.
Police are not currently releasing any further details about the incident.
East Way is home to Queen’s Park Infant and Junior schools and also Bournemouth School.
The headteacher at Queen’s Park Infant School, Pat Whitehead, told the Daily Echo she had been assured by police that the incident was not related to the school and that the children there were safe.
Police said they were called at 1.03pm.
