A DRIVER was pursued by a cyclist who then started attacking his car in a road rage attack.
Ed Baker says he was driving home when he almost collided with a cyclist who shot out in front of him near St Luke’s Road, Winton.
He says the cyclist then pursued him until he caught up outside the Ensbury Park pub, where the cyclist began kicking and hitting the black Mercedes, denting the door.
The car was in a queue of traffic heading towards Columbia Road when the incident happened about 5.50pm on Friday June 24.
Mr Baker, 37, said: “I was driving home and a cyclist shot across the road in front of me and I had to stand on the brakes so I didn’t knock him off. For some reason he took offence and chased me for several miles. “Every time the traffic came to a standstill, he got closer.
“It was outside the Ensbury Park pub that he caught up with me and kicked the car several times, banged on the roof then fled.
“It was a frightening experience and I want him caught.
“He is a dangerous man and unleashed the attack without reason.”
Police confirmed they had been called to a complaint of a road rage attack and urged any witnesses to call 01202 222 222.
