BOSS Lee Bradbury is set to hand a trial to Peter Bore – with his swoop for Simon Francis looking unlikely to reach a successful conclusion.
Bradbury confirmed that former Grimsby Town utility man Bore, who has featured regularly as a right-back, was in line to play for Cherries in this weekend’s EC Group Cup tournament.
That news comes as defender Francis failed to agree personal terms with Cherries, according to his club Charlton Athletic.
The Addicks accepted a bid from Cherries before giving them permission to talk to Francis.
Bradbury told the Daily Echo earlier this afternoon that the deal was not dead but, since then, Charlton chief executive Stephen Kavanagh told his club’s official website that Francis had not managed to reach agreement with Cherries.
Cherries are keen to bring in defensive reinforcements after Jason Pearce and Rhoys Wiggins left the club, while former loan star Adam Smith also looks set to move elsewhere.
Meanwhile, Wolves defender Scott Malone continues to drop hints about a possible move south via his Twitter feed.
