THE search for Bournemouth’s next crop of budding young writers has come to an end.
Two girls won the Beales Writing Competition organised in conjunction with Pride in Bournemouth.
Supna Kerai, 8, of Littledown in Bournemouth, was the winner in the 7-11 category, and Eloise Sparkes, 12, of Branksome, Poole, won in the 12-16 category.

The pair scooped £100 in Beales vouchers, VIP tickets to the Pride in Bournemouth Grand Finale Auction, with the chance to meet Martin Clunes, and an Adopt a Lion gift from the Born Free Foundation.
The entries were shortlisted down to nine by a panel of readers at Bournemouth’s libraries and chosen by children’s author Lauren St John.
Carole Rigby, the Bournemouth store director, said: “We are pleased so many children took part and have been amazed at their creativity.”
