A man is being taken to hospital with serious injuries following an incident on the A35 this morning.
The man came off a black Kawasaki motorbike at the Bloxworth junction of the A35 at around 8.30am, a police spokesman said.
Paramedics said the rider was conscious and breathing, he added, and no other vehicles were thought to be involved.
The man's injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Recovery has been requested for the motorbike.
