Cherries favourite Eddie Howe has backed the 777 marathon challenge of Bournemouth businessman Adam Murry.
Adam, 44, is set to run seven marathons in seven days for seven charities beginning in Paris on April 15.
Taking time from his job as manager of Burnley FC, Howe came to Bournemouth to give Adam his personal support.
He said: “It’s a fantastic challenge and I wish Adam the very best of luck. It will be an amazing achievement and will raise some much needed money for seven exceptionally good causes.”
The two men have a close bond as Murry was instrumental in appointing Howe as Cherries manager at the beginning of 2009.
After Paris, his challenge also features official marathon routes in Geneva, Venice, Salzburg, Frankfurt and Brussels, finishing with the London Marathon on April 22.
His seven nominated charities are:
• Julia’s House
• Bliss
• Ebony Robinson Foundation
• G4G
• Debra
• Hillside Animal Sanctuary
• John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation
Adam, who has been getting up at 4am and running 70 miles a week in preparation said: “It’s a tall order but I am determined to do this.
“Fundraising for charity has always been something close to my heart and because of the economic climate, it’s more important than ever.”
