CHRISTCHURCH Borough Council has agreed to bring the application for a new vicarage to the planning committee.
Concerns were raised after it appeared the proposals for a new vicarage at the rear of the current one in Quay Road, would be decided by an officer.
But Cllr Colin Jamieson, chairman of Christchurch council’s planning control committee, said: “After careful consideration, I can confirm that the decision on the planning application for a new vicarage in the grounds of the current Priory vicarage will be determined by the Planning Control committee on 26 April.
“Because of the high profile of this site, we know that this application will be of great interest to the community.”
