YOUNGSTERS at a Poole school have welcomed a rather special visitor as part of the World Book Day celebrations.

Authors Mark Wadey and Emma Kite, who have written Junior The Little Blue Campervan, visited Upton Junior School along with Junior.

Emma said: “We were really impressed. The children were so well-behaved and were a credit to the school.

“They were fascinated with the real ‘Junior’ campervan and ‘Grandma Ruby’ the dog, making our very first school visit a real pleasure.

“We have found that every time we drive Junior out, heads turn and he usually brings a smile to young children’s faces.”
