MORE than 370 people attended the New Forest’s second annual Volunteer Fair to find out how they can make a difference to the community.
Thirty organisations including the Forestry Commission, Hampshire Wildlife Trust and New Forest Centre held stalls, demonstrations and talks at the event in Lyndhurst, organised by the New Forest National Park Authority.
Julian Johnson, chairman of the New Forest National Park Authority, said: ‘We were delighted at the increased turnout and the enthusiasm of people to get involved.”
New Forest East MP Dr Julian Lewis, who opened the volunteer fair, proclaimed it a “hugely successful event”.
