POLICE want information after a man was stabbed at a Bournemouth nightclub.
The 21-year-old from Watford was stabbed at Priva three times, twice in the stomach and once to the underside of his arm.
He was attacked in the entrance foyer as he left the club around 4.05am on Sunday.
Police said the victim was taken to hospital but his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
Priva, on Poole Hill, bills itself as an award-winning private lounge offering Sushi and “the hottest DJs the UK has to offer”.
The service includes Cristal champagne for £450 and six litres of Belvedere vodka for £1,200.
Last February Priva had its licence revoked after a catalogue of complaints about assaults, drunkenness and drug use.
The revocation was reversed after the club showed that a gap in CCTV footage for a serious crime was down to an automatic computer reboot.
Club director Joshua Simons also runs a Priva in Barbados. A man answering the door yesterday declined to comment. Blood could be seen on the doorstep.
Detective Constable Jon Sainsbury, of Bournemouth CID, said: “I believe an altercation between the offender, the victim and his friends may have taken place earlier in the evening in the corridor next to the club toilets.
“This was a serious assault and I would urge anyone with information to contact me.”
Solicitor Philip Day of Horsey Lightly Fynn, speaking on behalf of Priva, told the Echo: “I can confirm an incident occurred outside Priva shortly after it closed.
“The victim was attended to by staff until the emergency services arrived.
“The police and Priva’s security manager have been reviewing extensive CCV footage but in light of the continuing investigation I cannot make any further comment other than confirm we will be open again this weekend as normal.”
In reply to further questions, he added: “The police have taken copies of the CCTV.
“There hasn’t been a problem with Priva in well over a year.”
