AN expert on leading English Victorian painter Frederic, Lord Leighton will be giving a talk at Bournemouth’s Russell-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum on the evening of March 29.
Daniel Robbins will be discussing Leighton’s life, career, methods and importance of his house in furthering his career and reputation.
He will also focus on works by Leighton currently on display at the Russell-Cotes for the exhibition In the Footsteps of Gods and Heroes.
These include his last major work, Clytie.
The event is the second of the In Conversation series and takes place from 6.15pm to 8.30pm.
Mr Robbins is senior curator at the Leighton House Museum, London.
