THE protesters camping at Bournemouth University said most students have been “positive and tolerant.”
Occupy Bournemouth and Boscombe want to meet the chancellor Lord Phillips of Worth Matravers, who is the head of the supreme court.
They now have 10 tents on a field, up from four when they arrived on Friday, near the pedestrian entrance at the Boundary Lane roundabout.
Protestor Gary Sherborne said: “We have just set up a library tent and an information tent.
“Someone let off a firework nearby but we think that was maybe just a prank.
“I think maybe our appearance might be a little unusual for some of the students but I think generally the response from them has been positive and tolerant.”
Occupy is a protest movement against the current economic system.
Members of Occupy want to speak to Chancellor Lord Philips about the eviction of Occupy protesters from St Paul’s in London, and about how the law deals with corporations, banks and demonstrations.
Bournemouth University has asked Occupy to leave and told the Echo yesterday it was still weighing up its options.
