A KNOCKOUT event at Portfield School to raise money for charity proved action-packed at the weekend.
The event, organised by Tracy Randell-Snow, who works at Castlepoint Natwest and Adi Chavez-Munoz who works at the Broadstone branch included an egg and spoon race, a dressing up relay, five-a-side football and an obstacle race.
The event was to raise funds for the Wessex Autistic Society and Children’s Wish charity.
Tracy’s son Dominic is autistic and attends Portfield School and Adi is running the London Marathon for Children’s Wish.
Tracy said: “It was a really good day with lots of fun. Unfortunately there was an accident on the football pitch and our regional manager, Chris Ashton got taken away by ambulance.
“Aside from that, everyone really enjoyed themselves and we raised a lot of money for charity, which we are still counting up at the moment.”
Natwest have agreed to match the money raised.
Samantha Read, fundraising officer at Round Table Children’s Wish said: “It’s great that Adi has come up with such a fun and eye-catching way to raise funds and we hope sponsors will give generously in recognition of both this and his marathon endeavour.
“Fundraising efforts like this It’s a Knockout challenge will help us make those wishes come true for children with life-threatening illnesses.”
