RESIDENTS have been evacuated after fumes leaking from a ruptured tank at a former petrol station site at Iwerne Minster caused an explosion.
A man has been taken to hospital with chest and facial burns, which are not life-threatening.
The fire service, police and ambulance were called to the site, which is being demolished, at 3.25pm.
Residents within a 100 metre radius have been evacuated as a precaution.
Hazardous materials officer Dai Jones said the area was made safe and police have closed the A350 for a quarter of a mile in both directions.
