BUSINESS leaders and staff from the town’s prospective Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) are visiting traders in person to ensure it gets enough ‘Yes’ votes.
The news came at March’s meeting of the town’s chamber of trade. Businesses are currently voting on whether there should be Town Centre and Coastal BIDs and the ballot closes on April 9.
If approved, traders in the affected areas will pay a levy that will be pooled together and used to improve trading conditions, with money spent on priorities set by the businesses.
