CHANGES are being made to the Wilts and Dorset 119 and 193 bus routes in New Milton and Barton-on-Sea following a public consultation.
The route of the 193 will change within Barton-on-Sea on Monday.
A new timetable will allow for the additional bus stops on an extended circular route in the town within Becton Lane in the east, the cliff top in south and Western Avenue in the west.
Ian Taylor, assistant operations manager for Wilts & Dorset in Lymington, said the new route and amended time table would make it more convenient for a greater number of Barton-On-Sea residents to use the 193.
He said the company listened to requests made by bus users in the area and worked with Hampshire County Council.
The revised 193 will also help people connect to the 119 for Tesco with minimal waiting time.
From the same date the 119 will be rerouted in New Milton via Milton Grove and adjoining roads, to restore a link between there, Tesco’s and the Town Centre.
New timetables will be available from bus drivers, from wdbus.co.uk or from the helpline on 0845 894 2469.
