THERE is a new face at the Wessex Autistic Society’s Portfield School.
Anthony Braine has joined the team as head of administration and ancillary services.
Prior to this appointment, Anthony, who is a trained musician and plays the piano and keyboards, has enjoyed a lengthy period in the music industry.
He said: “My own son has moderate autism and so it is a cause very close to my heart.
“The opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of the school and to assist our pupils and parents in any way I can is a vocation I am passionate about.
“I have received a very warm welcome from staff, pupils and parents alike and I very much look forward to the challenges ahead.”
