POOLE and Parkstone Productions has adopted children’s hospice Julia’s House as its charity for the year.
The musical and dramatic society is rehearsing its latest production, Stepping Out, which opens March 29.
The company already raises money for good causes, but members were keen to do more for a local charity.
Chairman Clare Albanozzo said: “I saw the Julia’s House Christmas Appeal about how hard fundraising is right now and something clicked.”
The new play, Stepping Out, opens at the Barrington Theatre, Ferndown on Thursday March 29.
There will be a retiring collection for the charity following the open night.
