Verwood has chosen its new Carnival Queen.
Naomi Larry, 19, has won the 2012 title and will now get to choose her own dress for the big carnival day on Saturday, June 30.
She grew up in Verwood and also works there. Naomi will be joined by princesses Madison Storey, 12, and 11-year-old Jordan Groves – both pupils at Emmanuel Middle School in Verwood.
All three will have a big part in the carnival and will also be called upon to perform various ceremonial duties throughout the coming year.
