CHRISTCHURCH Chamber of Trade and Commerce has re-elected Peter Watson-Lee, of Williams Thompson Solicitors, as its President for 2012/13.
Peter took over the role last September and he, along with the new Executive Committee, was chosen at the Annual General Meeting held in the Council Chamber at the Civic Offices in Christchurch.
Julie Ratcliffe who is a copywriter and local author continues as vice-president.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr Watson-Lee praised secretary, Terry Atkinson, who undertakes a huge amount of work on behalf of the chamber, including attending meetings and lobbying work.
He also said that the Chamber would hold more networking events at varying times and locations in order to engage with as many local businesses as possible.
“We held a very successful networking event at Kings, Christchurch and attendees completed questionnaires which will help in arranging meetings that give the greatest opportunity for people to attend,” said Mr Watson-Lee.
