SOME eggs-tra special activities will be taking place at Bournemouth’s Oceanarium over the Easter holidays.
Visitors to the seafront attraction between Saturday March 31 and Sunday April 15 will be able to get up-close and personal and discover more about the fascinating egg-laying residents, including the Oceanarium’s new leopard geckos, and enjoy “meet the creature” sessions, turtle feeding opportunities and a quiz trail.
Two new female water dragons have also recently joined the family and been introduced to their males.
Staff are hopeful that they will mate and lay eggs and are planning to prepare a private beach in the display for the water dragons, who will only lay eggs if they can bury them in the sand.
