Year 7 pupil Sam Danvers, 11: “I feel really safe coming to school and we do a lot of extra things apart from lessons. We do lots of science, maths and even French. But I like PE the most.”
Year 6 student Emily Searle, 11: “I really enjoy lessons and try my best in them. The teachers are really good because if you don’t understand anything they will stop and help you – they explain things well.”
Katie Dean, a teacher from Year 7: “I have been here for 14 years. The school is now a vibrant and fun place to work. Everyone is really enthusiastic. The emphasis is very much on the children having life experience.”
Year 6 teacher Amy Lings: “Every time something unusual happens at school it goes on our blog, where teachers and pupils can comment. It is a great way of getting children even more involved.”
Elizabeth Rivers, mum of a Year 7 pupil, said: “We moved here halfway through Year 4. They were absolutely fabulous, they made him feel really welcome. The school is fantastic – my son has moved up so much.”
Denise Elton, mum of two pupils, aged 11 and nine: “I came here as a child. I just love it. My boy was very not very confident when he came, but they have done so much for him.”
