BOURNEMOUTH Council has launched a ‘Talent’ fund for traders looking to move into Pokesdown.
The council is encouraging creative entrepreneurs a business support grant of £2,000 to open up a shop in the area.
This is the second opportunity following a successful first round before Christmas.
Up to four selected new businesses will be offered a grant to help find accommodation in commercial premises that are currently standing empty.
The project is looking for vibrant, exciting business proposals that will complement and add to the unique character of Pokesdown.
The area has branded itself as Bournemouth’s ‘Vintage Quarter’.
Cllr Jane Kelly, cabinet member for Regeneration, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for new businesses and individuals to come forward and be part of a really exciting project.”

The deadline for applications is April 30.
