SO many times we hear of people not helping others when they are in trouble.
We read. for example, stories of passers-by walking on the other side of the street to avoid going to the aid of a battered victim.
We are told of folk not venturing into the water to save a person struggling in the current.
Today we are delighted to report of two men who have bucked that trend, saw someone in difficulties in an emergency and immediately went to their rescue.
Step forward Ricky Jacobs and Luke Sellwood.
Without thinking about themselves they rushed to help a pregnant woman when fire broke out in her Bournemouth home.
Thanks to them what could have been a very difficult situation was averted.
It’s encouraging to note that there are still people who are prepared to go out of their way to help those in distress.
