A BLANDFORD woman will appear in a new Channel 4 show on hoarders called ‘Get Your House in Order’.
Sylvia Stewart, 59, had a shopping addiction so bad she had £100,000 worth of unopened bargains filling her home.
Her seven-bedroom home became crammed after her husband Andrew died in 2008.
She said: “My belongings had been stored in a vast loft, but this new home had a loft extension, and little storage.
“The removal men dumped everything inside the house, and it never moved.
“I felt so miserable I bought more stuff to try and cheer myself up. It was a spiral of addiction.”
Dealer Nick Allen clears out her house and sells off anything of value. Interior designer Abigail Ahern then transforms the newly cleared home.
Abigail said: “When we walked into her home we were stunned. The clutter went from floor to ceiling and blocked the windows.”
Get Your House in Order starts at 8pm tomorrow and Mrs Stewart will feature in the second episode.
