AS shops and businesses count their stock, so do RSPB nature reserves.
For the second year running reserves at Arne in Purbeck and Radipole at Weymouth are carrying out a wildlife count and calling on people to help.
On Saturday April 7 at Arne and Sunday April 8 at Radipole, the RSPB is inviting visitors to discover what kind of amazing wildlife makes their homes there.
“These reserves have got to be some of the most bio-diverse sites in Britain,” said Rob Farrington, of the RSPB at Arne.
“What better way to spend Easter than having a great walk out in the great outdoors with wildlife all around you.”
Roving wardens will be on hand throughout the day, there will be a reptile show and a booklet in which to record plants, birds or creepy crawlies.
Budding Chris Packhams will be added into a draw to win a fantastic trip on a Dorset bird boat.
